Four years ago, Calgary singer-songwriter Marija Smolcic was struggling to make ends meet and was on the verge of being homeless.
But the singer emerged from the darkness and into a much more hopeful path with the help of the Calgary Urban Project Society (CUPS).
Thursday, CUPS launched a $20-million project aimed at helping him move to a new and expanded location.
